Phone Records Reveals New Information On Tshegofatso Pule and Ntuthuko Shoba’s Relationship. Ntuthuko Shoba appeared in court on Thursday for his second bail application. Shoba is accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of Tshegofatso Pule who was carrying his baby at the time of her death.
28-year-old Pule, who was eight months pregnant, was sadly killed in June 2020, and her body found hanging from a tree. Muzikayise Malephane was then arrested for the murder, and it later turned out that he was working for Shoba, who got arrested in February. Malephane alleged that he had been hired to kill Pule because Shoba feared his “wife” would find out about Pule’s pregnancy. Shoba has previously applied for bail, but was unsuccessful.
Trying his luck once again for the bail, new information was revealed in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court about how things were between Shoba and the deceased. It has come to light that this was the second time Pule had been pregnant with Shoba’s child. The previous pregnancy was aborted.
WhatsApp messages between Shoba and Pule also painted a different picture of their relationship, revealing that the young woman did not trust her boyfriend and feared that he would do anything to not become a father. The messages also showed that he was absent, did not care about Pule’s well-being or the imminent birth of their baby.
Shoba has maintained his innocence and intends pleading not guilty when the matter goes to trial. The matter has been postponed to April 26.
