Miss Universe 2021 Pageant Date Released

Miss Universe 2021 Pageant Date Released. The day that many have been waiting for is getting nearer and nearer. After a year and a half, the Miss Universe competition is back with a live Telecast. Come the 16th May 2021, Natasha Joubert, will represent South Africa at the 69th Miss Universe pageant.

The last Miss Universe pageant was held in December 2019 and its winner, Zozibini Tunzi, has worn the crown longer than anyone else. The beauty queen was crowed Miss SA 2nd Princess in October 2020. Will Natasha make history by making the country bag the title for two consecutive years? Looking at her portfolio and talents, we are confident that she is going to make the South Africa proud.

In the past South Africa has been represented very well on the Miss Universe stage. At the current moment, SA is the title holder, courtesy of Zozibini walking away with the crown in December 2019. She became the third South African to win the pageant after Margaret Gardiner in 1978 and  Demi-Leigh Tebow in 2017.

The Miss Universe 2021 competition will air in more than 160 territories and countries across the globe. The event will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood. It is still under consideration whether a limited audience will be permitted to watch in person.

Paula M. Shugart, the president of the Miss Universe Organization, said in a press release that they have spent months planning a safe competition. It will follow similar guidelines as last November’s 2020 Miss USA competition held in Memphis.

See you May 16th in Hollywood, Florida! My @missuniverse fan side is screaming!!It’s always so exciting for me to watch the show and it is finally here. I’m so excited for every contestants’ journey and I wish them all the best of luck,” Zozi announced.
