SA Government Reverses The Sales Of Cigarettes #level4restrictions. A week ago, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that on the 1st of May South Africa will move to lockdown level 4.
Under this level, restrictions will be eased and among the other things to be allowed back was the sales of cigarettes. After an in-depth consideration, on Wednesday night Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma announced during a briefing that cigarettes, tobacco and related products will not be on sale just as yet.
“The government took that into consideration, debated the matter, looked at it and decided that we must continue as we are when it comes to cigarettes, tobacco products and related and we should not open the sale of products,” the minister said.
