Top 10 Most Talented South African Actors Under 30. There is a lot of young talent in this country. Coming up with this top 30 best male actors was not an easy one. These actors always make the roles they play relatable,and that is why so many people love them.

1. Hungani Ndlovu

His first lead role was in Memoir Of An Honest Voice, which went on to be nominated for Best Short Film at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2015. The film was also nominated in three more festivals in the US. You won’t believe it that the Scandal! acting job is Hungani Ndlovu’s first television job. Now he is one of SA’s loved villains on TV.

2. Wiseman Mncube

Born in 1990, Wiseman Mncube is a talented actor an director. He is becoming one of the favorite faces on TV dramas and soapies. From directing big plays to winning awards, Wiseman is a force to be reckoned with.

3. Xolani Mayekiso

27 year old Xolani Mayekiso is best known for his starring role as Thato Maake on the Mzansi Magic soapie The Queen. He made his first appearance on the show in Season 2, Episode 72. Originally recurring in Season 2 and the first part of Season 3, he was promoted to series regular during the third season.

4. Mpho Sebeng

Mpho Sebeng is best known for his television roles as Siso Ledwaba in Zero Tolerance (2001-2006) and as Slay in Soul Buddyz, in 2011. The 25 year old has scored many roles and is currently playing Goitse on The Thorne. His interests besides acting are script writing, photography and directing. Mpho has a passion for the arts and wants to play a role in the growth of the industry in South Africa.

5. Paballo Mavundla

The 19 year old actor obtained a bachelor’s degree in dramatic arts from the National School of the Arts in 2017. Paballo’s first major TV gig playing the rebellious Nkosana on The Herd. In November 2018 he joined the SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy in the role of Crazy J.

6. Ishmael Songo

The 24-year-old actor started off as an extra on Rhythm City, but now he’s one of the most loved characters on the show. While studying at AFDA a lecturer told his class that Rhythm City was looking for a character named Emmanuel. He auditioned, but didn’t get the role. He then heard about Sabelo’s character, and tried his luck again.

7. Mpho Sibeko

Mpho Sibeko is best known for his starring role as Mo, in the SABC2 sitcom Gauteng Maboneng. He previously had a recurring role on the e.tv soapie Rhythm City as headboy JT and made his screen acting debut in the first season of the e.tv drama series 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls, in 2010. Mpho joined Scandal in November 2018 playing the havoc causing Pastor Samson Ngema.

8. Zamani Mbatha 

Zamani Mbatha is best known for his starring role as Zamani, a young, good-hearted hero with a hunger and desire to be someone of value, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Isithembiso. Definitely not living under the spotlight of her sister Nomzamo Mbatha.

9. Themba Ntuli

27-year-old Themba Ntuli is best known for his recurring role as young car guard Pule, on Rhythm City, from May to June, 2008. He is also known for his roles in television commercials for Sunlight and SABC2 among other things. Themba holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Directing, Writing and Television Production.

10. Tshepo Senatle

He was working as a panel beater when he got the call that changed his life. Tshepo Senatle started acting at recreational halls, now he is on TV since joining popular drama Skeem Saam. The 23 year old plays Koloi Shivambu. He started doing extras on the show, and his talent earned him a permanent and bigger role.
