Reporting to Payroll Manager
Your job profile will include:
Maintain a central record system on VIP for all payrolls (e.g. permanent, freelancer, contractors, etc) and control activities of salaries in order to meet deadlines. Must be able to produce the payroll on a monthly basis accurately and on time while safeguarding confidentiality
Duties and/ or tasks:
Check Discovery bill against VIP schedule for medical aid adjustments
Check tax status and structures salaries of all new employees
Complete and submit monthly statutory returns PAYE, UIF, etc.
Handle salary queries and requests from staff as far as possible
Month-end general ledger exports to SYSPRO
Receives and captures weekly and monthly salary inputs to ensure that lawful and accurate deductions and payments are made to employees.
Preparation and distribution of pay slips for staff
File all paperwork in employee files after payroll.
Reconcile VIP reports to external reports
Print monthly reports on VIP
Maintenance of VIP system and filing, etc.
Process backups on VIP
Data Capturing on VIP
Three years’ VIP Premier experience (essential)
Sage VIP People experience (beneficial)
Computer literacy with full efficiency on MS Office [Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point]
Should have excellent organisational abilities
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
SYSPRO an advantage
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information discretely
Ability to interact with people at various organisational levels both internally and externally
Proactive and able to work well independently
Strong organisational skill with ability to prioritise effectively
Strong organisational and planning skills
