Tweeps Defend Leanne Manas As Ntsiki Mazwai Comes for Her. At the top of Twitter trends today is Leanne Manas. This is mainly because it is her birthday today, and so many people are wishing her a great day.
Not everyone is celebrating with Leanne as she turns a year older though. Ntsiki Mazwai decided to be a party pooper and burst Leanne’s bubble. The two personalities don’t have a great relationship, and have more than once engaged on twars. In September 2018, Ntsiki said the news anchor was mediocre and was only kept in her position as a result of white privilege. Leanne was calm saying they should meet someday, maybe Ntsiki might like her as a person and not as a color.
In 2019, when Leanne celebrated 15 years of being a Morning Live show presenter, Ntsiki attacked her again. The TV personality, poet and musician said she didn’t think that Leanne is amazing at her job. She once again mentioned that she is just white and enjoying privilege. “She can’t even speak indigenous languages. She is not African,” Ntsiki added.
This time around Leanne was not about to let Ntsiki dim her light. She started by correcting Ntsiki on the spelling error she made on her last name. Then went on to acknowledge her views, but told her that just like everyone else, she is entitled to have an opinion.
The year is 2022, and Ntsiki still doesn’t want to let go of Leanne. This time around, she wants the poor lady to have a sour birthday. She is not impressed that Leanne is still an employee at SABC after so many years, labeling her contract, evergreen. This time around Leanne ignored Ntsiki, and it was other tweeps who defended her.
