Sad Note! Mampintsha’s Mother Dies. In less than a month after Mandla Mampintsha Maphumulo’s untimely death, another member of his family passes away. The late award winning artist’s mother reportedly passed away last night at the age of 64.

It is reported that Mampintsha’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede, had liver complications since 2016 and the death of her son had taken its toll. She started feeling ill before him but got worse when he was first admitted to the hospital. Her sickness seems to have deteriorated after her son’s passing.

Mama Gumede had been at loggerheads with her daughter-in-law Mampintsha’s widow Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Maphumulo for several years. Their feud made headlines and was in full view on the Showmax reality TV show Uthando Lodumo. At Mampintsha’s funeral though, the two women kissed, made up and buried the hatchet.

“I would like to forgive you for all your sins because I’m a child of a pastor. I’m saved….I forgive you. I ask that whatever dispute we have ends, starting today,” Babes said at the funeral.

Sadly Mama Gumede suffered a stroke about a week ago leading to her death. Now Babes, who is a young widow is in mourning yet again.
