Motlatsi Mafatshe Bags A Cool TV Hosting Gig

Motlatsi Mafatshe Bags A Cool TV Hosting Gig. It goes without saying that the entertainment industry has been hit the most by the current state of affairs. With the country back to level IV, it means less jobs, gigs and sources of income for most of our entertainers. Nonetheless, there are some personalities like Motlatsi Mafatshe, who are still blessed enough to get a form of employment.

The talented musician, actor and director has been announced as the host of a brand new show, Unefa. The Mzansi Magic docu-reality series follows the lives of South Africans who are surprised by the fact that they have an unclaimed inheritance. The show’s premise is created on the fact that every year many South Africans pass on, leaving their loved ones with the gift of an inheritance, but every year many South Africans miss their blessings and never receive that money.

This may be due to incorrect personal details (where their information was either wrongly logged or not updated) or the beneficiary is a minor at the time of death, resulting in payment where the money is held by the Guardian’s Fund. Others don’t receive their funds for sneakier reasons such as lack of transparency between family members.

“Unefa will take viewers on an emotional, entertaining, hopeful, reflective and heart-warming journey where unsuspecting beneficiaries are surprised with an unclaimed inheritance from their deceased loved ones,” says Nomsa Philiso, the Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.

Mafatshe is best known for his roles in the popular films State of Violence, Sokhulu and Partners II and Zama Zama. He played the role ‘Sechaba’ on the popular SABC 3 soapie Isidingo first, and after playing the role for more than nine years, Mafatshe finally joined officially for the show’s directing team in 2018. In 2019, he won the award for the Outstanding Lead Actor award at the Third Royalty Soapie Awards.

He also played the role as ‘Wandile Dhlomo’ in the soccer drama Shooting Stars. Then he appeared with the role ‘Casper’ on the series When We Were Black. In 2018, he co-produced the romcom Love Lives Here. In 2020 Mafatshe bagged a role in hit film, How to ruin Christmas, The Wedding.

We are confident that he will do an exceptional job as the host of Unefa which will make its debut on the 7th of July 2021 at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic channel 161.
