Itumeleng Khune’s Wife Can’t Stop Singing His Praises

Itumeleng Khune’s Wife Can’t Stop Singing His Praises. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your significant other excel in their career. More so when they work in the public space, where criticism is the order of the day.

By virtue of him being a professional footballer, Itumeleng Khune knows very well, how it gets when one doesn’t do impressively well. Quite a number of times he has been trolled and even promised hands by angry fans. Some have even called for his retirement, stating that he is too fat and aged to still be a footballer.

Over the weekend though, the award winning Kaizer Chiefs goal keeper redeemed himself and he is back at being a favorite. Kaizer Chiefs fans were over the moon after Khune’s double penalty save ensured their MTN8 quarter-final victory against Stellenbosch on Sunday. After he made his heroic double save fans could not contain their excitement and flooded the pitch in celebrations.

Khune’s number one fan is also proud of him over the performance. Sphelele Makhunga took to social media, where she sang her husband’s praises.

It can only be God hubby……I am so PROUD of my Husband,” Sphelele said.

Over the years we have seen Khune and Sphelele’s relationship grow in leaps and bounds. As much as there were talks and allegations here and there, the two ignored it all and focused on growing their family. Towards the end of 2019, Khune paid lobola in the presence of family and friends. They soon welcomed their first born daughter Amo, in February 2020, and a year later their second daughter Lesedi was born.

In June 2022, the Khunes had their traditional wedding celebration, and it was the most beautiful ceremony ever. Sphelele shared a few pictures from their day, one where she looked all sorts of gorgeous in a Zulu attire, and the other picture she wore a Tswana traditional attire, matching with her hubby.
