  • Reporting to the financial manager, the successful candidate will have the responsibility for ensuring that all financial data is accurately recorded on the accounting system and is expediently provided to the financial manager as well as other relevant stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Producing accurate monthly management reports within agreed deadlines.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Bank reconciliation for auxiliary bank accounts.
  • Monthly journals prepared or authorised for processing.
  • Various year-end reconciliations in preparation for the annual audit.
  • Assisting the FM to ensure the audit process is completed within schedule which includes liaison with the external auditors.
  • Supplier reconciliation and processing of payments via online banking.
  • Processing cash book transactions.
  • Assisting with the collection of overdue receivables and other accounts receivable related tasks.
  • Supporting sales representatives with finance related queries.
  • Filing, faxing and other administrative related duties.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting/bookkeeping is an advantage.
  • Two to three years’ relevant experience in a medium sized firm.
  • Exposure to debtors management.

Advantageous

  • Exposure to Pastel Partner advantage.
