Private training provider is looking for an Academic Administrator to join their growing team.
The purpose of this position

  • The primary focus of the person who occupies this position will be to assist the manager with a number of administrative tasks.
  • Assist with the management of clients, this implies ensuring that clients have an excellent experience in each interaction with the institution’s employees and find it easy and enjoyable to work with the institution as an organisation.
  • The administrative function in the institution implies assisting and supporting staff in their endeavors to serve clients and students throughout their journeys with the institution.
  • This position requires accountability and/or responsibility for all administrative functions related to student, client, facilitator, supervisor and moderator engagements within the institution. This includes being responsible for ensuring the application of commonly-accepted project management principles, using and working with the institution’s technology system.
  • The successful candidate will need to be aligned with, and contribute effectively to the realisation of the institution’s dream, strategic goal and objectives.
  • The successful candidate will report to a respective manager.

The key responsibilities

  • Apply basic project management principles with delivery outputs.
  • Accurately capture data and ensure data integrity is preserved.
  • Assist responsible colleagues with relevant administrative tasks that will assist and support them to deliver client service at all levels of the business.
  • Assist staff to proactively identify student support issues to ensure they are addressed timeously.
  • Be creative and innovative in order to deliver a remarkable client service that is focused on continuous improvement.
  • Be professional, yet assertive, when interacting with people.
  • Build working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain administrative-related organisational standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement policies and procedures relevant to administrative tasks that impact on delivery of learning programmes.
  • Prepare and provide reliable data that will assist the manager in monitoring quality of client relationship and student progress through dash boarding and report analysis.
  • Prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide relevant student information for reporting purposes.
  • Solve administrative problems appropriately and speedily.
  • Working Knowledge of INSETA’s Learner Management System
  • Knowledge of the SETA landscape
  • Ability to complete all INSETA reporting templates.
  • Ability to manage learnerships

Required education:

  • Diploma/Certificate

Required experience:

  • Academic Administration in a Training enviroment: 3 years
  • Office Administartion: 2 years
  • * Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access/Database, Internet, email: 2 years
