Florence Masebe Remembers Her Son 8 Years After His Passing. No parent deserves to bury their child. As soon as one finds out that they are expecting, they envision a better future for their child. Many even are of the believe that, their kids will provide for them and take care of them when they are old.

Sadly, for some parents, they bury their kids while they are still young. The likes of the late Zoleka Mandela, Zenande Mfenyane, Nhlanhla Mafu, Mona Monyane, Ntombo Mzolo and many other out there know the pain very well.

Florence Masebe, is also another parent who has experienced the loss. The Award winning actress lost her son Masakona Matsila on her birthday on the 14th of November 2015. He was only 18 months old. The toddler died tragically from a drowning accident, and life has never been the same for Florence. In 2017, Florence penned a book in remembrance of her son. The Heart Knows, is a collection of poetic mourning or poems written during her time of mourning, and continues to be a source of comfort for mothers who are grieving.

Now its has been 8 years, but the pain still feels fresh. Such memories as death anniversaries, will always be a constant reminder of the pain she endured. Florence posted a special memory she shared with Masakona, and stated that she still remembers the loss, but she is well.

“I birthed. I loved. I lost. I remember. It’s all love. I am well. #RIPMasakona🤍🕊️🕯️🤍🕊️🕯️🕊️🤍,” Florence captioned a picture of herself with Masakona.
