10 Interesting Facts About Muvhango’s Wavhudi Lidzhegu (Vhutshilo)

1. Wavhudi Lidzhegu was born on the 28th of September in 1999 and he grew up in Muledane, Thohoyandou.

2. He holds a National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, but the acting bug has bitten him, and he is now in the entertainment industry.

3. The rising star fell in love with acting after he read John Kani’s books. This influenced him to want to pursue the same career as his idol.

4. Lidzhegu got his big break popular SABC2 drama Muvhango when he was just 16-years-old. He auditioned for the show when he was in grade 12 and as they say, the rest is history.

5. After he was called for a second audition, he started to attend some workshops and got some knowledge to equip himself.

6. He plays the mischievous Vutshilo, a spoilt young man with no morals, respect, or boundaries. When he wants something he goes for it regardless of who will get hurt.

7. Vutshilo become a fan-favourite character on the show earlier this since he started dating his boss – Gugu played by Bukamina Cebekhulu. He also attempted to kill his father, Azwindini (Gabriel Temudzani) when he found out that they share the same girlfriend.

8. Although Lidzhegu nails this character, before then, he had never done any acting. This is his first time as an actor. He is good at what he does, such that people confuse him for his onscreen character.

9. Like most youngsters out there , Lidzhegu was at some point a victim of bad friends. He admits he went through a period of problematic behaviour and hung around toxic and delinquent friends who always got into trouble and encouraged him to join in.

10. Thanks to his parents Dr Muvhoni Edward Lidzhegu and Rudzani Virginia Nkhumeleni, for not giving up on him. They encouraged him to participate in church activities and focus on his studies.
