Walter Mokoena Living His Best Life Amidst Reports of Being Broke and Not Paying Staff. He is one of the seasoned sportscasters we have ever had in the country. Sadly for sports, Walter Mokoena moved out of the spotlight in pursue of other interests.

The CEO and founder of the MySportsBook app has been trending over the past couple of days, but not for great news. It is alleged that Mokoena is financially strained and has allegedly been struggling to pay staff salaries at his online publication for months. According to Sunday World publication, staff members at The Joburg Post, an online news and media company Mokoena owns, told them that he becomes arrogant when it is time to pay them their monthly wages. All that he does is make empty promises.

Mokoena is yet to publicly address the accusations leveled against him. Instead her took just took to social media to post traveling content. He is currently in the US, living his best life. Mokoena even traveled in style, boarding business class, which doesn’t come cheap.

Mokoena started his career in broadcasting, after getting a break at P4 Radio Cape Town (now Heart FM). He began Freelancing in the same year for City Press newspaper as their Cape Town soccer correspondent. He then joined Kaya FM as a Sports anchor for their breakfast show, as well as the Soccer talk-show host.

In 2000, Mokoena joined the SABC, as an anchor for Saturday afternoon prime-time sports show, Mabaleng. He then went on to host many flagship shows on SABC 1, including the Coca Coca Soccer Zone, Blow by Blow and Laduma.

Some of his major highlights include presenting the 2010 FIFA World Cup host nation announcement live from Zurich, and covering the Athens Olympics. He also presented the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. After a 3-year sabbatical leave, Mokoen joined Paris-based Sports network, Trace Sports, as one of their anchors, in 2013. In 2015, he e-joined the SABC as their Football anchor, and the following year, he presented the European championship in France.
