Tony Forbes Describes AKA’s Murder As A Well Funded Hit. This past Saturday marked a whole year since the untimely passing of Kiernan AKA Forbes. The multi-award winning rapper, TV personality and entrepreneur passed away last year after he was shot outside Wish restaurant in Durban on February 10.

His first death anniversary made him trend once again on social media. Many chose to celebrate his timeless music, and some took a moment to look into his murder case. AKA’s family has been doing a lot of interviews, and as the anniversary of his death approached, more interviews were done. His father, Tony Forbes recently sad down with DJ Hazel Mahazard on her podcast, Within with Hazel. Uncle Forbes as he is affectionately called spoke about his late son’s childhood, rap career, love life among other thing.

One of the interesting things Uncle Tony spoke about is those behind his son’s killing. He strongly believe that AKA was assassinated, and a whole planning took place. The grieving father also believes the second shooter was there to make sure the job is done.

“It took planning. It required resources. The guy walks around, targets Kiernan and shoots him in the head. How’s that random?” he said.

Uncle Tony further said that people with money are behind AKA’s assassination. He believes that those who had access to resources, funded the whole thing. One thing he is not clear about, is the motive behind the killing. At this point, Uncle Tony can’t divulge more details on what the family has been briefed in relation to the progress that has been made in the investigation. He draws consolation in the fact that the police could be close to cracking the case.
