Watch! Rea Gopane Apologizes To Bonang, Scoop and AKA

Watch! Rea Gopane Apologizes To Bonang, Scoop and AKA. Social media platforms have over the years given people the courage to say things, that they generally won’t say on a face to face basis. In the name of trolling, dragging and clapping back, social media users always find excuses to take other people down , just so they trend.

There is also another way by which a person can just say what they want about other people without being held accountable. Using YouTube, a growing number of creatives have set up podcasts, where they tackle any kind of topic without fear. Because these podcasts are not regulated by any broadcasting boundaries, a lot gets said, and a lot of people get hurt. Case in point will be the Podcast and Chill with MacG, which has been embroiled in a number of scandals.

Another podcast, has landed in hot water over content that was aired. Everything SA Music, which is co-hosted and co-founded by 22 year old Rea Gopane has been trending for a few weeks now. Rea made news after boldly saying on his podcast that Bonang introduced his ex boyfriend AKA to drugs. This conversation came after AKA’s fiance’s Nelli passed away. There was a rumor going around, regarding her death, where people kept saying the death was related to substance abuse. The rumor also continued to say Bonang was the one who introduced AKA to those substances.

Rea claims in his podcast that according to Siyabonga (Scoop), it was Bonang who led AKA into cocaine usage. “We know AKA, let’s not hide from the truth. Scoop told us that AKA is on cocaine and Bonang is the one that got him onto cocaine.”

Bonang’s lawyers then served Rea with a letter of demand on Twitter this past Sunday evening. The letter demanded a public apology and retraction of the video in which the comments were made as well as R500k for the reputational damage his comments caused Bonang. Rea is already one step in to meet the media personality’s demands. He has shared a video on his social media platforms in which he apologizes to Bonang, AKA and Scoop Makathini.

“As stated in my letter of undertaking, I would like to express my sincere apology for everything I said on our podcast dated (May 9 2021). I would like to unequivocally retract my statements and apologise to all the parties concerned namely Ms Bonang Matheba, Mr Kiernan Forbes and Mr Siyabonga Ngwekazi,” Rea said.
