Siphesihle Ndaba Bids Farewell to Her Gomora Character. This is a sad season for many of our shows on TV. If shows are not getting cancelled, principal actors are leaving. Just the other day, Generations: The Legacy viewers bid farewell to one of the main cast members Musa Ngema. He was well know for playing the character of Mazwi Moroka.

Now another beloved actress, is leaving a leading TV show. Siphesihle Ndaba’s character on Gomora recently died, hence it is also the end of the road for her with the hit Mzansi Magic telenovela.

The award winning actress, model and influencer burst into the scene as one of the cast members of the television drama series produced by Seriti Films. She played the character of Mazet, a young woman who has been surviving the streets of Alexandra, thanks to her street smart ways and the company she keeps. Siphesihle played the role exceptionally well, making Mazet a massively loved personality with viewers.

Her last scene on the show, saw her being gunned down by Thati, a character played by Katlego Danke. Of recent the two haven’t been seeing eye to eye, and their latest altercation ended up with Mazet getting shot in cold blood.

It is not clear why she is exiting Gomora, but there are rumors doing the rounds that the character was no longer giving. Showing gratitude, Siphesihle has penned a heartfelt farewell message, where she appreciated the opportunity she got. She also hinted that there might be another acting gig lined up.

Back in February, the actress shared how she got the Mazet role. Siphesihle saw the advert for the role on Instagram, and since she was a fresh graduate, she decided to try her luck. When she saw some talented personalities at the auditions, Siphesihle chickened out and contemplated on going back home.

On second thoughts, she decided against abandoning the auditions. Siphesihle wondered what she was going to say to her mother, who would want to know how the audition went. That gave her the push to go back inside and try her luck. Even though she thought the odds were against her since she had no experience, Siphesihle got four call backs, and as the say, the rest is history.
