I her farewell message, she shared how her inspirational radio journey started back in 2008.

Goodbye Radio….Unlike many, my Radio DJ career started at 5FM in 2008. Starting with a chart show on Sunday nights called the Best Of 5. Later pitching and getting a Friday Night Fix Dance Show and a Tuesday Night Pop Show. 3 years later I left for the States to explore my other talents leaving two dream jobs behind. I later came back and I’ll never forget that phone call from from Aisha (Station Manager at the time) saying “Well now that your officially back are you keen to co-host a daytime show? ”
That was the birth of the Forbes & Fix Show,
” she said.

Fix also shared how beautiful her journey has been as a radio presenter, “If you have never been to a 5FM party, or experienced the energy of the 5FM squad all in one place… gosh there is nothing like it. Every personality (on-air and off-air) has something beautiful and unique to offer. Thank you to the squad for your creative energy everyday. You know who you are. ??

I am grateful to have had the opportunity highlight many organizations on-air that do incredible work in the social sector and thankful to 5FM for always supporting the @FixScholarship initiative every year
. “

She also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her colleague Robert Andrew Forbes. Together they co-hosted the “Forbes & Fix Show which airs daily on 5fm between 12pm-3pm. Fix also shared a word of encouragement for women who are pursing a career in radio urging them to support one another instead of competing amongst themselves.

To my work husband, Robert Andrew Forbes…
I stand to be corrected but we might just be the longest standing duo on 5FM to date. We have experienced amazing moments in life and have had the opportunity to share those moments live on air with our listeners everyday. I do not take any of it for granted. Your love for radio and your professionalism on-air is admirable. Take care of yourself homie ❤️

Lastly, to all women in radio, it will not be an easy journey for you but you can succeed. Don’t make it a competition, just support one another because we are all going through the same struggles. Her win does not mean you lose. Clap for her, support her, encourage her,
” Fix said.
