Watch! Somizi On Why He Won’t Apologize For Insulting Journalists. For a few days now, there has been some differences between Somizi Mhlongo and the media. In one issue the media personality ended up publicizing a journalist’s private umber after she shared a story that Somizi and Mohale are divorcing
In another incident, Somizi insulted Sunday World acting editor, Kabelo Khumalo. He lost his cool after he was approached for comment following the controversy surrounding season 2 of his cooking show, Dinner At Somizi.
Somizi used vulgar slurs when he responded to Khumalo, “Deadline yo m*u kanko, go lika yihlo, u fuen abortion survivor.” In translation, he insulted the journalist’s parents and implied that he survived an abortion.
The South African Editors’ Forum then called for action against Somizi. SANEF wants him to unreservedly apologize to these journalists and the public on all his social platforms for his “unbecoming behavior”.
Somizi on the other hand has vowed that he is not going to apologize. Although he feels bad about sharing Julia’s contacts publicly, Somizi says she wanted her to feel how it is when your privacy is invaded.
