Pearl Thusi trends almost every month both for great things as well as negativity. No matter how unpopular her opinion can be she never shies away from sharing it and always stands her own against Black Twitter.
Sadly the media personality, actress and entrepreneur is thinking of deleting her Twitter account. Pearl left her 3.3m followers disappointed on the app when she revealed the possibility of leaving Twitter. Her reasons are valid though, because nowadays she hardly shares any tweets. Just like most celebrities, Pearl updates about her life mostly on Instagram, where people are less brutal. The only thing that is holding her back is waiting to see what the new Twitter boss Elton Musk plans to do with the popular social media platform.
“I should probably delete this account. I’m hardly here now. But I wanna see what @elonmusk is gonna do to it,” Pearl said.
If she leaves, this won’t be the first time she turned her back on Twitter. A few years ago, the queen of clap backs had to take a break after she was dragged hard over the colorism and yellow bone privilege issue. Pearl was in a heated twar with another celeb, Bonnie Mbuli over the issue.
The Pearl was left in tears and took to her Insta Stories to express her sadness over some of the words shared. As a of introspection, she decided to delete all her tweets and go back to the drawing board, in an effort to do better. After some time she came back to the platform, much stronger than before.
