Celebrity Pranks We All Fell For In 2017

Celebrity Pranks We All Fell For In 2017. Quite a few times this year, our beloved celebrities put the joke on us. They fooled us with stunts, and it took a few days for the fans and media as well to get the real truth. The following pranks and stunts will forever be the highlight of 2017.

Bontle And Priddy Ugly

The couple posted several pictures of what looked like their engagement, traditional wedding and white wedding, sparking a frenzy among fans. Rapper Priddy Ugly and TV personality Bontle Modiselle later confessed to faking their engagement and subsequent wedding all for a music video.

Bonang And AKA

AKA took to Twitter to announce that he and media darling Bonang Matheba are no longer together. In a short statement on Twitter, the rapper announced the breakup by saying “Sad to announce that myself and @bonang_m have broken up. We tried guys. It was just a prank guys, and he went on to buy Bonang an expensive Gucci bag.

Babes Wodumo

Babes Wodumo also pranked us when she claimed her latest single Gandaganda was lost in a memory stick. The musician requested South Africans to help her by sending a link of her song on a stolen USB so she can delete it. Turns out that this was just a publicity stunt to get the song out there.

Khanyi Mbau

It seems as if the publicity stunts work with artists. The Queen of Bling together with Distruction Boys delayed the much anticipated video of the hit song Omunye sighting complexion edits. This made people more hungry for the video as they dub the song the festive anthem. The good news is that the video is out now.

Cassper Nyovest

Abuti Fill Up is a smart businessman. He pulled the ‘I am broke’ stunt on us, and the pity he got from fans helped activate his Fill Up FNB project. Fans, sponsors and fellow musicians came through for him and he made history. Talk about being smart.
