They are both in the entertainment industry, with Kgomotso being a veteran media personality, whereas her daughter Dineo is a TV personality, actress and entrepreneur. Understanding how lonely it can get in the industry, the two are each other’s biggest fan. Kgomotso is always happy when her daughter gets gigs, and always celebrates Dineo’s business milestones.
On the other hand, Dineo also sings her mom’s praises when the opportunity arises. Yesterday, the world celebrated World Radio Day, and she seized the moment to speak highly of Kgomotso.

KG’s name is synonymous with the evolution of the radio industry in South Africa post 94. She honed her skills at Radio Bop and was part of the founding team of the newly licensed commercial station P4 Radio in KZN, now known as Gagasi FM.
She then went to Kaya FM where she spent 5 years and earned a historic spot as 1st commercial radio female breakfast show host. KG went back to Gagasi FM and earned another accolade as first female commercial radio Programming Manager. Her love for jazz led her to Metro FM after that where she mesmerized the nation with her love for smooth jazz before spending 10 years at Radio 2000 on various slots, including talk. KG also joined SAFM, where she shares her vast musical knowledge to its listeners.
