Sindi Dlathu Bags A Role in New BET Telenovela. An actress can’t stay long with no acting gig. After the end of The River, Sindi Dlathu is bag with yet another lead role and we are here for it. The multi-award winning actress stars in Queendom, an upcoming BET daily drama.

Queendom explores themes of cultural heritage, tradition, fate, ancestry, power struggles, identity and survival. It tells the story of Nthandokayise Mthombeni, a maverick community leader in Tsakane, who discovers that she is the rightful heir to the throne of Khahlamba Kingdom.

Sindi plays the character of Tholakele Mthombeni, a mother with a 30-year secret that will rock her daughter Ntandokayise’s world. Ntando is played by Linda Mtoba, who was Sindi’s step daughter Nomonde Dikana back in The River. Nomonde and Lindiwe did not like each other one bit, but in Queendom, the mother and daughter duo have a healthy relationship.

Queendom also stars among others, Pallance Dladla, as Prince Mcebo Khahlamba. Musician and actor Sjavs is playing Prince Mkhuseli Khahlamba. There is also Samkelo Ndlovu, Dawn Thandeka King, Hamilton Dlamini, Mduduzi, Mabaso, Dladla, Silindile Nodangala, Themba Ndaba, Mike Mvelase, Lehasa Moloi, Patrick Mofokeng and Nhlanhla Kunene.
