AKA Give His Two Cents On The Burning Of Universities In South Africa

Speaking out on politics is always scary, but AKA is using his social media platforms to raise awareness against the burning of Universities in South Africa. The Sanlam Auditorium on the University of Johannesburg’s Kingsway campus burned down overnight after being set alight on Monday. It comes as violent student protests erupt across the country, the majority of which are calling for lower tuition fees, more student housing and erasing remnants of South Africa’s racist past.  Three of the nation’s top universities were forced to close so far, as the violence continued.

The rapper took to twitter to speak his mind about the issue. He urged his fans to look deeper into the situation as he says it does not make sense to him that students would burn down their own auditorium. AKA simply condemns the burning of Universities. He says what happened to the University of Johannesburg is as a heartbreaking situation.
