Fashion Designer Quiteria Kekana Battles A Chronic Disease. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with Quiteria Kekana, who is battling cancer. The top fashion designer diagnosed with multiple myeloma early this year. This is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell.
The talented fashion designer is going through chemotherapy, and we wish his a speedy full recovery. Kekana, who is behind Quiteria Atelier, is taking things slow and has been receiving help from his mother back home in Soweto.
His team took to Instagram to wish him a speedy recovery with heartfelt tributes. They shared a touching soundtrack as well as some master pieces that he created even when he was in so much pain. This according to the team, testifies to the strength and talent that Quiteria is.
Despite the bad publicity that he received some months ago, there is no denying that Quiteria is e of the best designers in the country. Last month, he was the talk of town, as his designs stood out at this year’s South African Film and Television awards. All their designs made it inmost best dressed lists across publications.
One of their models, Enhle Mbali, was everything as she rocked not one four dresses to showcase the talent that is Quiteria. “Why choose one dress when you can wear them all,” the actress’ stunning pictures were captioned. Other celebs, Ami Faku, Katlego Danke and Zola Nombona, also looked all sorts of gorgeous in Quiteria Atelier dresses, at the SAFTAs.
