Tasting Room Manager Wanted At Imbuko Wines

Fast growing wine bottling and procurement company, Imbuko Wines is looking for a tasting room manager to join their vibrant and growing team. The successful applicant will be employed at their offices in Wellington and responsible for the overall development and management of the tasting room.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage tasting room, tasting room staff, and cellar door sales
  • Training of staff on all existing and new products
  • Implement new ideas, promotions, and new label launches in tasting room
  • Achieve monthly local sales targets as set out in the marketing strategy
  • Manage the VIP wine club and events
  • Responsible for stock control in tasting room
  • Present wine tastings and training, ensuring customers and clients are attended to in the Imbuko way
  • Report weekly and monthly regarding sales, foot count and possible concerns
  • Assist and give insights for the overall look and feel of the tasting room
  • Coordination local and international client tasting room visits and events
  • Monitor TripAdvisor
  • Liaise with Wellington Parkrun and any new route launches
  • Manage client database
  • Oversee and assist with front desk with reception duties, wine tastings, and cellar door wines sales as necessary

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Sales or marketing qualification
  • EZY Wine systems experience would be advantageous
  • Tasting room management and sales experience
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Knowledge of and love for the wine industry
  • Sales and customer motivated
  • Creative, energetic, and innovative individual who craves constant change
  • Own transport with valid drivers license
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Strong attention to detail skills
