Zoleka Remembers Her Mother Zindzi Mandela A Year After Her Passing

Zoleka Remembers Her Mother Zindzi Mandela A Year After Her Passing. On this day last year we lost one of our most prominent public figures, Zindzi Mandela. She was a South African diplomat and poet. Zindzi was the daughter of the late anti-apartheid activists and politicians Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

A a political and social activist, Zindzi never shied away from engaging on issues of nation interest. She was also a writer, and is a published author of a very interesting book titled, Black As I Am. Zindzi was married twice and had four children from her first husband. She left behind all her children, daughter Zoleka Mandela (1980) and sons Zondwa Mandela (1985), Bambatha Mandela (1989) and Zwelabo Mandela (1992).

Zindzi passed away at the age of 59 from what many suspect to be Covid-19 complications. Zoleka, who was very close to her late mother penned a heartfelt tribute on the first anniversary of her death. She asked God to hear her prayer ad provide her with comfort during her grief.

13.07.2021 … “Father of Compassion, hear my prayer and provide comfort to me during this time of shock and grief. My mother was your child, you knew her from birth and she died in your loving arms. Help me to trust in the name of Jesus who conquered Satan, sin and death. Help me to live a life of faith with my hope set in your eternal life. Help me to focus on your blessings during this time of loss. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in your sight O Lord. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.” ?? Lord, please free her from all her pain, all the suffering and sadness she suffered for so long, for far too long … please?” Zoleka.
