Job description
Two positions available
Reporting to the channel news director: eNCA
Your key performance areas will include:
News operations
- Develop story treatment for multi-platforms with reporters.
- Produce television features/scripts of high quality
- Assist with additional research and visual direction.
- Coordinate news coverage, working with camera operators, reporters, online teams, video editors and others.
- Take responsibility for quality control of all aspects.
- Briefing and debriefing crews
Requirements
- A post–matric qualification in journalism
- Minimum seven years’ work experience in television journalism
- Exceptional communication and people skills
- Sound editorial judgement and interpretational skills
- Excellent command of the English language, writing skills and visual sense
- Thorough understanding of the country’s social dynamics and general news
- Thorough understanding of the processes involved in producing television news
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and in team.
Note: The successful candidate will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.
