KO Launches His Own Clothing Range

The South African rapper Ntokozo “KO” Mdluli who rose to prominence with the group called Teargas has officially launched his new clothing line. The label is called DustKOmpany. “Dust because we are from the dusty streets of townships and KOmpany because well..KO” states a press statement released by Cashtime records. KO also added that the range will be more than just artist merchandise, but it will also be a full on street wear clothing label

The clothing line offers caricature long-sleeve tees which are available online at www.dustnkompany.com and also at fashion kraal in Johannesburg. According to the KOmpany website, the long-sleeve tees are the only items that are available for purchase for now and they only retail at R359.00

KO released the Cashtime Life merchandise line which compromised of t-shirts and bucket hats, best known as spotties. The range was sold out quickly and their production was far outweighed, hence the Cara Cara hitmaker decided to start his own full clothing line. “The clothing line is inspired by my patriotic obsession with SA culture and of course the aesthetics of my music” said KO.

He further added that he figure it was only logic for him to create his own range seeing that he has managed to create fashion trends in the urban space with an ensemble of various other brands.
