These are SA females who have seemed to grab a hold of fame and just won’t let go. They are the “celebrities” that are famous for scandals, or because they’re always pictured with other famous people. No matter what their reason for being in the public eye, these celebrities seem to have a death grip on their version of fame and fortune.

Buhle, a US-based businesswoman, admitted to having an affair with Norma’s husband, Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba. She has also threatened legal action against Norma after she allegedly called her a “prostitute”. The feud between the two women is so bad that Mrs Gigaba even decided to deactivate her Instagram account.

Norma revealed that the businesswoman started harassing her two months after she and Malusi got married. Buhle apparently told her not to post any pictures of her husband or her kids.

Pulane Lenkoe

Pulane Lenkoe’s photographs were apparently leaked on social media. The escape caused quite a storm in South Africa, especially given that Lenkoe was the girlfriend of popular Orlando Pirates football star Thandani Ntshumayelo. There’s been suggestions that the pictures were leaked by the football stay. It’s not clear why the photos were leaked.

Lizelle Tabane is a South African woman who came to fame after having her picture published on the cover of the Sunday Times following her trip with then African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) President Julius Malema to Mauritius. Following the article on the cover of the Sunday Times, she became widely known as Julius Malema’s girlfriend.

eNCA’s current affairs show aired an episode investigating the phenomenon of blessers, a euphemism for “sugar daddies on steroids”, as the show refers to them. It spoke to 27-year-old “blessee” Amanda Cele, who is unemployed but lives in a flat in the suburbs, drives a Mercedes and wears a range of luxury brands – all thanks to her blesser, who she said “makes things happen”.
