The award-winning creator of lifestyle and fashion digital content, is in the US, for the GRAMMYs, but topping trends here at home. Kefi has been trending since the weekend after a story about her allegedly staging a marriage made waves on social media.

In January 2023, Kefi took to Instagram to shar news of her traditional wedding. She looked all sorts of beautiful in her Tswana traditional wear. She wore her favorite designer, Gert-Johan Cotzee, who always dresses her up for special occasions. Kefi posed with cows, which are normally used to pay the bridal prize in South Africa.

According to an article published by Zimoja, Kefi allegedly faked her lobola negotiations for content. Apparently she staged a photo shoot, hired the cows and glammed up for lobola negotiations that never happened.

With social media users cooking her, Kefi has decided to break her silence on the issue. Taking to Insta stories she stated that people mistake silence for weakness after remaining silent for the entire weekend. Kefi has also threatened to release footage of the supposed “husband” in question.

“Seeing as social media trends are a thing these days, how about we unveil camera footage of you at my residence with your family and political cronies conducting meetings at my house?”
