Is Shaving Only For Women? Or Does Society Have Double Standards?

Latoya MaDuka Solani recently put up images of herself posing with unshaven armpits on social media and whilst many people responded with disgust and disdain others felt society was very biased when it comes to natural hair. Latoya and many other people who think like her cited the fact that women are quick to be judged for having hair in their armpits whilst men on the other hand are cited as #MCM and People’s Bae when their hair is running wild. Are there double standards when it comes to how men and women should look?

Body hair is beautiful. People need to open their minds to different kinds of beauty. Women don’t need to conform to society’s expectations in order to be attractive. Indele ndlela to destroying people’s idea of women and how they are suppose to look.Even women themselves fall in the same trap!!!!!

People who are grossed out by their own body hair especially women then-you have a problem my sister however if it’s your preference to shave your armpits then do that. But please don’t make judgments to natural raw women like my self who are growing their armpits to a great natural organic length. Stop perpetrating the very same norms that society has on women and what they re suppose to look like or be as a woman.

Some men shave their bearded and some don’t nothing gross about that its preference. Men generally don’t shave their armpits and its alright because society says YES to that its normal. We live in a time when we have women who run with the wolves. We are here all natural and beautiful. Do not make us feel some typa way because of your narrow-minded way of seeing beauty. You’ll be outche using blade and whatever shit you use to get ride of hair thats naturally growing. Just like you’d put weaves on and hide your natural hair. Why? Again it’s a preference and the nothing wrong with that. If sweat and smell or hygiene is what you thinking about then ask your self-how men/Your father\boyfriend/ uncle copes? As we all know when you have a weave on and you not taking good care of it after a while it starts smelling like Nick Nacks right?
