Mirror Effect Media is a young, vibrant and dynamic production company based in Ferndale, Randburg. We are looking for a TV Producer to join our team and work on a brand new and exciting Docu-reality TV show.

Job description

Duties and/or tasks:

• Generating and developing story lines for the show
• Conveying findings accurately to others in report form and ‘briefs’
• Briefing Editors and directors on stories sourced and story outlines
• A clear understanding of the logistical requirements for TV production and of the latest developments in the TV landscape
• Managing the logistics of the production

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a producer role for docu-reality TV or similar
• Good general knowledge about the SA entertainment industry
• Strong contacts in the entertainment industry, ability to secure access to celebrities, high-profile people and events.
• Ability to find and develop original stories, and to contribute ideas for programmes, items and treatments.
• Demonstrable a passion and knowledge for tabloid/celebrity culture
• A clear understanding of the needs and profile of the target audience and the ability to translate these into imaginative and compelling programme ideas.
• Effective planning and organising skills. Ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time, prioritising work load, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities
• Effective team-work and interpersonal skills. Ability to work alone
• Drivers licence a must
• Good communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once.
