“I Know the Pain of Losing A Son,” Sello Maake kaNcube Joins the Senzo Meyiwa Conversation

“I Know the Pain of Losing A Son,” Sello Maake kaNcube Joins the Senzo Meyiwa Conversation. Quite a number of A-list celebrities have decided to sit this one out. Despite the fact that, the case has been of public interest for years, and trends every time there is a court session, for some reason most celebs never comment on it.

Senzo was gunned down on 26 October 2014, at his girlfriend’s, actress and singer Kelly Khumalo, house in Vosloorus. The talented footballer, who was a goalkeeper for both Orlando Pirates and the national team Bafana Bafana was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital in Johannesburg. Although there were six adults and one minor when Senzo was shot, till today it remains a mystery as to what really happened to him.

In a shocking turn of events, one of the witnesses said she does not want her testimony in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial to be broadcast via audio or visuals. This according to her, is because her testimony will be criticized and also scorned on social media and this will unsettle her and hinder her from continuing with her testimony. Many have concluded that the particular witness could be Zandile Khumalo-Gumede, Kelly Khumalo’s sister, and the then girlfriend of Longwe Twala.

This has not sat well with a lot of people who follow the case, including Sello Maake kaNcube. The veteran actor, producer and gender activist has expressed his heartbreak as he joins in on the conversation to seek justice. He empathizes with Senzo’s family and loved ones more so since he also lost a son at some point in his life. Maake kaNcube feels that what the witness (alleged to be Zandi) is doing is heartless, and basically annoying.

The sooner she testifies, the sooner she can go to her ‘quite’ and so called private life! This is really the worst from of injustice,” he added.

He also added that Senzo should not be judged for his promiscuous ways, since even men from the Bible were taken down by their partners. Hectic!
