Human Resources Assistant Wanted At Chester Wholesale Meat

Description:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for fulfilling the role of an Assistant in the Human Resources department for Chester Wholesale Meat KZN (Pty) Ltd.Minimum Requirements:

  • Human Resource or Industrial Psychology Qualification.
  • 1-2 years of Human Resources would be an added advantage.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Jarrison and VIP would be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Labour Law including Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Skills Development and Employment Equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all administration in the department is kept up to date, responding to queries, emails and general correspondence.
  • Completing WCL2 forms, ensuring Injuries on Duty are recorded and filed timeously as per Health and Safety processes.
  • Performing the full recruitment function for junior level from screening CVS to placement of a candidate.
  • Ensuring Training and Development is administered timeously, such as creating a training plan, setting up training and liaising with management for authorization.
  • Ensuring learnership registration is completed and liaising with the facilitator.
  • Attending Workplace Forums, doing minutes and resolving queries.
  • Assisting in the verification processes of BEE and employment equity.
  • Assisting in creating policies, memorandums and drafting standard operating procedures.
  • Assisting in Employee Wellness/Benefits such as organizing medical aid for employees.
  • Ensuring all warnings are issued timeously, grievance matters addressed and enquiries are set up as per Industrial Relations processes.
  • Assistance in Payroll processes as and when required.
  • Ad hoc duties.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:30 to 16:00 or 07:45 to 16:15
Salary Package: Negotiable
