Pearl Shongwe Remembered A Year After Her Passing. It feels like just yesterday when the sad announcement was made. The truth of the matter though is that, it has been a whole years since Pearl Shongwe‘s untimely passing.
The seasoned media personality was apparently found lying on her bed face down by her family and complex security guards who gained access by forcing open a window from her bedroom. No injuries were found, and it appeared that Pearl might have died of natural causes. In March this year, Sunday World reported that the detectives who are investigating her death have ruled out foul play and are instead investigating a possible drug overdose. This allegedly came after they confiscated a sizeable quantity of drugs from her unit in Waterfall. Since then no further developments have been shared.
As it is her first death anniversary, METRO FM, decided to honor her. Pearl’s mom and sister were on the show she was a new anchor on, The Touchdown with Tbo Touch. Together with Pearl’s former colleagues, they had a moving and and beautiful tribute to the late.
