Black Twitter Drags Loyiso Bala For Saying Inxeba Must Be Banned. There has been so much controversy surrounding the movie,with many saying it’s a disrespect to Xhosa people. Several cinemas across the country have suspended the screening of the much-anticipated movie until further notice. Award winning singer Loyiso Bala also aired his disagreements about the movie, stating that it should be banned. Twitter did not let this one slide, and he was dragged.
The release of ‘Inxeba’ totally ridicules and disrespects the wishes and traditions of the Xhosa culture. If we, as a country, cannot protect our own cultural beliefs and differences, no one else will do it for us.

Inxeba has claimed eight South African Film and Television Awards (Safta) nominations, including for Best Actor, Best Directing and Best Film. It has also won 19 awards at 44 festivals in more than 25 countries worldwide, including South Africa. The film has been shortlisted for this year’s Oscars in the category of Best Foreign Language Film.
