DJ Fresh Reacts to A Rumor That He Is Replacing Dineo Ranaka At Kaya FM. A year ago, Dineo Ranaka joined Kaya FM as their breakfast show host. She joined the station with Sol Phenduka, who became her co-host on 959 Breakfast, a killer show loved by the listeners.
After almost a year with Kaya, Dineo has sadly parted ways with them. This comes just a month after Dineo opened up about going through a rough time. She took to Instagram to share how she has been battling with suicidal thoughts of late. Among the things she said, Dineo said she now understands why people commit suicide. She added that she is trying hard not to take her own life.
Her employers at Kaya then released a statement that they take the well-being of their staff importantly. They thus made immediate changes to their line-up while Dineo was dealing with her struggles. The stand-in line-up came into effect Wednesday, May 24th, 2023, with Sizwe Dhlomo standing in for Dineo.
After she shared a couple of weeks back that she was recovering, many were hopeful that Dineo was coming back to resume her work at Kaya. Quite surprisingly she revealed recently that the radio station fired her. According to some publications, Dineo was in a three-year contract with Kaya FM, which was meant to run until 2025.
Who then is going to step in, as a host of 959 Breakfast? One social media user, heard a rumor that the legendary DJ Fresh has been roped in to replace Dineo. Well, jusding from Fresh’s response, the rumor is false.
