Job description
- Design and produce concepts and layouts according to client specifications from concept to completion and within the branch in a variety of forms, such as newspapers, magazines and online.
- Assist in all aspects of print production, including scheduling, copy checking and proof approvals
Requirements
- Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software
- Exceptional creativity and innovation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
- Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
- A degree/diploma in graphic design is essential
- Good knowledge of design software, such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Personal Skills/Attributes
- Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary
- Willingness and ability to learn new programmes and adapt to changing requirements
