“To Still Have a Job Is A Privilege I Will Never Take For Granted,” ProVerb. We live in tough times that are hard to deal with. The Covid-19 pandemic made it all worse as people lost jobs as well as their business ventures. Those in the entertainment industry have also been hit hard by the hole pandemic, as now gigs were getting fewer.

All has not been lost though, as some personalities still bag gigs, and some managed to retain their jobs. One such is ProVerb. The media personality, rapper and author is known for hosting the Mzansi Magic popular televised competition ‘Idols SA’ and the Khaya FM radio program called ‘The Winner’s Circle.’

ProVerb started his entertainment career by being a rapper early in life. In 1999, he began rhyming and by 2005 released his debut album titled “Book Of Proverb” under Outrageous Records, followed by his sophomore effort “Manuscript” on Gallo Record Company in 2006. His television career really took off in 2010, when he became a co-host of Idols SA season 6 with Liezel van der Westhuizen. He became sole host of the series in 2011 to date, and went on to become a producer on the hit show.

Although he is talented and works really hard, ProVerb doesn’t takes all his achievements and success for granted, but rather he looks at the as a privilege. He took to Twitter to share his gratitude over having to be able to put food on the table during these difficult times. Talk about being relatable.

To love want you do is a blessing I’m eternally grateful for. To enjoy support and to create magic with the best team in the world, I can only describe as heaven on earth, ProVerb said.
