1 Anele Mdoda

There was major debate surrounding Anele Mdoda’s Twitter comments about addressing her colleagues, which includes Rebecca Malope, by their name instead of the way elders are addressed in African culture. Twitter users dug into Anele, which saw her make the Twitter trends list on Sunday night. Some users accused Anele of not respecting her elders, while others called her out for not adhering to their culture.

2. Kay Sibiya

Uzalo’s Kay Sibiya seems to be doing better after being hospitalised on Thursday night.  The hunky actor took to social media to reveal that he spent the entire night in hospital, but did not explain the reason for his hospital stay.

3. Don Laka

In a controversial social media post that has resulted in him losing his Facebook profile, Don Laka accused most of the popular DJs of promoting each other on radio stations and leaving the rest of the artists out in the cold. The Jazz legend and co-founder of Kalawa Jazmee, Don Laka, has taken his fight with radio to the next level, naming and shaming several artists for what he alleges is conflict of interest.

4. Itumeleng Khune

This past weekend Itu woke up to a full front page spread in a tabloid newspaper, which claims that their romance has allegedly been rocked by cheating claims. The Sunday Sun report claims that Sbahle allegedly dumped Itu after she apparently found out that she was not the only woman in his life.

5. King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo

Abathembu King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo has been discharged from a private hospital, the Department of Correctional Services said on Friday. This was Dalindyebo’s second hospital visit since he began his 12-year prison sentence at the East London Maximum Correctional Centre. The department of correctional services confirmed that the King had been transferred back to jail.
