Proverb Reacts to Being Compared to Somizi Lawrence Maleka and Katlego Maboe. When it comes to male presenters in this country, we are spoiled for choice. Just like their female counterparts, these gentlemen have talent in abundance.
We have the likes of Proverb, Somizi, Lawrence Maleka, Katlego Maboe, Mpho Popps, and so many others, who are great at this hosting thing. Just recently, Katlego held it down together with Lerato Kganyago as the hosts of METRO FM Awards, whereas Somizi killed it in the backstage interviews. As for Lawrence, he has made a name for himself by hosting major awards shows, including his big gig on Big Brother. From hosting Miss South Africa a number of times, to being with Idols SA for years as a host and producer, Proverb is also a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
Because of the nature of the industry they are in, these men get compared every now and then. Every individual has their favorite, based on their own reasons, hence why there is always a debate on who should get what gig. Just the other day, Proverb, Somizi, Lawrence and Katlego trended on Twitter, with social media users weighing in on who is the greatest host amongst them. As each one of them has their own fans, these male personalities almost crashed the internet, as votes came in rolling.
Reacting to the comparison, Proverb expressed massive humility by appreciating being pitted against the other three male hosts. The award winning rapper, media personality and author considers it a privilege to marvel and learn from them. What a man!
