  • If you are planning to buy a car, don’t be in a hurry to sign a contract. I know how exciting it is to hear you qualify for credit finance. Stay calm.
  • Never buy a car out of desperation/excitement. Both emotion can be blinding. Read that contract, especially the small print.
  • Ask someone else to help you read that contract before you sign it. This person must have some knowledge of how contracts work.
  • Sleep on the decision 🛏️. Don’t make a decision there and there. Things may look very different the following day.
  • Take the contract home with you and read it over a day or two, some may tell you you can’t. If they do, walk away, it smells like a trap🤧.
  • There’ll always be a nice car in the market for your affordability or budget. Don’t let them hype you.
  • They’ll sweet talk or put pressure on you, but don’t be intimidated. You’re the one with the money they want.
  • Decide if this is the kind of deal you want to tie yourself to. If it does not SERVE YOU, walk away!
