‘The Daily Show’ Ratings Go Up – All Thanks To Trevor Noah!

He was Comfortable and confident as he took over as host of ‘The Daily Show’ . Trevor Noah proved “he can do it” last week Monday night, as prime time crept off to bed, Trevor Noah began his tenure as host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.” His celebrated predecessor, Jon Stewart, had handed in his keys after 16 years, apparently to have a life, a decision some still regard as unfair to them and to America.

Of course many people immediately starting doubting the abilities of this South African comedian, even going so far as to accuse him of racism and sexism and a whole bunch other crimes against humanity in general. But it seems that Trevor Noah is the perfect man for the job.Apparently, Noah’s debut as the new host of The Daily Show drew in 3.475 million viewers across 12 Viacom channels in the US on Monday night. To put this figure into perspective – the final episode of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart drew in less viewers at 3.471 when it aired on the same 12 Viacom channels on 06 August 2015.

Well, comedy Central reports that approximately 7.3 million people watched The Daily Show on Monday in the US and that it also drew in a younger crowd with an average age of 41.
