Vacation Work

Primary Purpose To expose students to the Auditing Department at BDO so that they can experience the culture and work environment
This exposure should assist students in their studies and with making informed choices when considering where to complete their articles
Principle Outcomes There are different Vacation Work Programs available depending on the year of studies the student is in:
Group days:

* Target Group: 1st year and 2nd year students

* Duration: 1 day * Dates: Three times spread over the year

* Summary: Open day at the firm where you will speak with Partners, Managers and Trainees and take part in some group exercises
Audit Vacation Work

* Target Group: 3rd year students and above:

* Duration: Two weeks

* Dates: June/July Varsity Holidays and November/December Varsity Holidays

* Summary: Intensive Program where you get trained by our Audit Department and are then booked out on a client to be a part of an Audit team

Person Specification Students who are on the CA Stream that want to know more about BDO and the Auditing profession
Students who have already signed training contracts with other firms will not be eligible to participate
Competency Requirements Group Days: 1st year through to Honours Bcom Accounting Students who are studying to become Chartered Accountants
Audit Vacation Work: 3rd year Students and above, who are studying to become Chartered Accountants and have had Auditing as a subject
