Lerato vs Bonang: This Is Why We Should Stop Comparing Them!

Again and again, the media pits successful women  against each other, making one’s rise contingent on another’s fall. And this is ridiculous!

Like, there is no scale that TV Personality, Lerato Kganyago would weigh equal on. So why the comparisons? Is it because they’re both successful black women in the TV presenting space? Probably.

Mzansi is still no closer to knowing whether Lerato Kganyago and Bonang Matheba are enemies or frenemies or indifferent. But people are really desperately trying to find out. However, Miss Lerato Kgangago said Bonang and her are ‘okay’ with each other but people don’t want them to be okay.

In an interview, Lerato K opened up, about being compared to Bonang, and the hate she’s received along the years.  Lerato explained that criticism doesn’t break her but pushes her to work harder instead. And, for years Lerato has been accused of mimicking Bonang.

“That’s an insult. It’s frustrating because I find myself trying to change my voice. I tried to change so I wouldn’t be compared to anyone, but I realised I’m being unfair to myself,” she spoke.

Something that caught our attention this morning was when Miss Kganyago took to twitter today to post  a pic captioned…. ”  Catch me on the Front Row standing in for my Girl B, only on Metro FM!!!! 10- 12 Good Morning ❤️”.

Noticed , “My Girl B”?. Could there be some modesty behind?
