Afrisun Gauteng trading as Carnival City is committed to contributing to South Africa national skills development agenda by focusing on both internal and external talent development initiatives. External commitment to the skills development of unemployed learners is demonstrated both through the Carnival City Bursary Scheme and the provision of Learnership / in-service training / vacation work programs.

LEARNERSHIP:

The Gaming Learnership is a post-matric programme targeting unemployed learners. We will offer a monthly stipend for the duration of (1 Year), training provision and learner support. Carnival City as an employer is responsible for hosting the learner(s) and making provision for workplace coaching and workstations.

Whilst a learnership does not guarantee permanent employment, the track record of absorption of learners on the Gaming programme, into the sector, has been an impressive 75%  – 85%. The Gaming learnership programme is an important contributor to transformation, giving every employee in any casino the opportunity to make a difference.
