SA Actors Remember Veteran Actress Elize Cawood With Heartfelt Tributes. Unfortunately this year bears more sad news than good moments. On yet another sad note, South Africa is mourning veteran actress Elize Cawood who died Saturday morning.
Elize passed away after battling lung cancer since September 2019. Her daughter, Jenna Dunster, took to Facebook to announce her death.
“She was diagnosed with lung cancer in September and fought gracefully until the end. She was in no pain when she passed and both me and my father were there with her. Our worlds will never be the same without her, but we celebrate the exquisite human being that she was,” Dunster posted.
The late veteran actress has acted on major TV shows like Generations and Isidingo. She will also be remembered for her contribution to the theatre industry. Other established actors like John Kani, Neo Matsunyane and Hlomla Dandala took to social media to pay heartfelt tributes.
