Rapper iFani holds an honours degree in computer engineering and tried his hand in geology before settling for a career in music sums up the kind of “cat” Ifani is. He has now revealed that he plans to go back to school to complete his PhD.
The 30-year-old rapper took to social media revealing that his plan to hit the books is not for financial gain, but to better himself.
“As soon as my 2nd Quadrant work is done I’ll start working towards my PhD Not to make more money But to make myself a sharper & better person.”

iFaniu was born in Mthatha but raised in Port Elizabeth and educated at UCT. Before going into the music industry, Ifani worked for giant brewer SABMiller as a process control engineer and a software developer.
