AKA Justifies Why His Album ‘Levels’ Hasn’t Reached Gold Status Yet!

2014 was the year that South African hip-hop truly found its voice. Rapper AKA made the cut and he is still SA’s favourite. Fast-forward…… This year, the SAMAs recognized him as “Best Male”. Now that’s a deal!

We believe that AKA is a great hip hop rapper and has earned himself a top spot in the music industry. The “All eyes on me” hit-maker made a great offering last year of his album “Levels” and it received amazing recognition all across Africa. He is now busy with his tour in Africa and we are really impressed.

Just a few minutes ago, AKA took to twitter to speak about his album and his dream for it to reach gold. Yes, “Levels” hasn’t reached that level. Here is what the rapper had to say……….

Artists such as Cassper Nyovest have had a taste of what going gold feels like and by the way, the “Phumakim” hit maker is sitting on platinum right now. This could be  what sparked AKA’s sentiments to the matter. The pressure in the industry and of course, people will never stop comparing AKA and Cassper.
